Sienna
This is a straight-grained and evenly textured medium hardwood with a pleasing if not subdued figure. Color ranges from a pale pinkish/brown to a light tan and the wood accepts stain very consistently. Alder is an abundant and rapid growing tree, native to the Northwest region. Available with either a Clear or Knotty grade. Clear Alder exhibits the presence of occasional small, sound knots and some mineral streaks. Knotty Alder is truly characterized by its knots which range in size and character from tight and sound to split and open with a random distribution.
