Rustic white oak is a wood that shows off all the natural character and imperfections of the wood. It features a coarse texture, straight grain, and natural defects like knots, mineral streaks, and variations in color. The colour variations come from a combination of both the heartwood (light to medium brown tones) with the sapwood (light brown tone) which give the wood a unique look.
